A few years ago I realized the “www.ielettronica.it” website. This site was created with the intent to learn the php language attached to mysql database. The purpose of the site was to collect all informations in my possession about electronic engineering and to share them on internet in an orderly way so that everyone could view and use them.
The site has peaked at about 2000 views per day with up to 800 registered users. The site then suffered a devastating drop when Google search engine algorithms changed. Until the site is no longer visible in the search engines and hence clicked only a few times.
Over time, the site has been further improved by integrating jquery algorithms to optimize the process of integration and editing of arguments.
After a few years I had the chance to use wordpress CMS and I could see that the work done on ielettronica website is simply replicable (in just a few days) on a CMS with the advantage of being able to improve it installing different plugs without touching a line of code.
However my old ielettronica project helped me to understand the details of php / mysql / sql / jquery programming and allowed me to quickly understand the built wordpress structure and to easily import the data from the old to the new database through Of the accurately made tool.
some of the old algorithms are also adapted tp work together with new CMS
Currently “www.ielettonica.it” is based on the WordPress CMS with a very powerful structure, but I still have a great work on my old website structure that can be defined as a homemade CMS.
I make available to everyone the code of the old ielettronica structure and have the possibility to use it in the following address and be also administrators if you wish (by sending an email to my address firstname.lastname@example.org).
the old ielettronica website is currently located in altervista.org.
This website is full of jquery code.
