Privacy notice

What data the site processes, why, and how you can control it. Updated 2026-10-27.

Who the controller is

The data controller is the operator of electronics-engineering.com. For any request about your data write to administrator@electronics-engineering.com.

Browsing and statistics

Like every site, the server records the IP address and the pages requested, for security and operation. Visit statistics (Google Analytics) and YouTube videos use cookies only if you accept them in the cookie banner, where you can change your choice at any time.

Comments and ratings

If you leave a comment we store name, email (not published), text, date and IP address, to display it and to protect the site from spam: some checks compare the IP and email (only as a cryptographic fingerprint) with the public StopForumSpam database. For star ratings the IP address is stored, to prevent repeated votes.

Study area without an account

Marked sections, notes, links to AI discussions and progress stay in your browser (local storage) and do not reach the site. The site only receives an anonymous count of how often the features are used, without personal data: the IP address is used for a few minutes, only in hashed form, to avoid counting the same action twice.

Account

If you create an account we store your email address, the dates of registration and last sign-in and the data of your study area, to sync it between your devices. The sign-in code reaches you by email through the hosting provider's mail service. Legal basis: the service you request. We keep the data until you delete the account.

Questions to AI

The "Ask AI" buttons open ChatGPT (OpenAI) or Claude (Anthropic) with the text of the lesson: your browser sends it, with your own account on that service, whose privacy policy applies. The site sends none of your data to these services.

Who processes the data

The site is hosted by Hostinger, which stores the data on our behalf. Google processes visit statistics if you accept them. We do not sell or give your data to anyone.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its processing, object and receive it in a readable format. From the "My account" page you can download your data and delete the account yourself, at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
